Vince Gill is Glad The Grammy's Are ON!
Vince Gill is among artists who seem relieved to hear news that Hollywood's striking writers will not picket at this year's Grammy Awards. Gill tells The Tennessean, "I don't know if I was going to cross. I'm a writer for a living. In my heart of hearts I think they'll get this settled. It was kind of ironic though: You get nominated for a big award and then you go, 'Dang, I don't know if we're going to get to go to this party.'" The decision would have been a much simpler one for Taylor Swift. She says, "This is my first nomination, it's a huge deal for me. If they had the Grammys, I was going to go." While the show is set to go on as planned, it has yet to be determined whether or not union writers will be allowed to work on the ceremony.
