Thompson Square were among the five artists nominated for the CMT Music Awards' coveted USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year category.

"We are thrilled beyond words," says Keifer Thompson, half of the husband-and-wife duo. "This has been a whirlwind of a year for us and we could not be more excited to be nominated."

Shawna Thompson adds, "We are in great company for this award category and are so excited to have a part in this year's CMT Music Awards. We feel so blessed for the chance to just play music - this nomination is the cherry on the cake!"

This category was just a sneak peak of what's to come for the 2011 CMT Music Awards. The rest of the nominations will be announced live on NBC's Today show on April 27th.
