The Grascals Discuss 'I Am Strong' And New Album
The song was written after the bluegrass band visited the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and were inspired by the strength of the kids that are treated for illness there every day.
Although it features country legend Dolly Parton, the shining stars of the video are the children, who even chime in on singing the song.
The Grascals share, "We hope this thing raises millions and millions of dollars because part of the proceeds - thanks to Cracker Barrel and The Grascals and all of our friends for putting effort into this - goes back to the children."
The band also told us about partnering up with some country artists for their new album The Grascals & Friends. The CD, which is exclusively sold at Cracker Barrel, features collaborations and duets with Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, The Oak Ridge Boys, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Joe Nichols and many more.
