The Crowned Country Couple
When Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert went home with a bunch of CMA Awards collectively last week, they became the first country couple in ten years to take home the Female Vocalist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year Awards since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill did it back in 2000.
Backstage after the show, Blake commented on being the newly-crowned "country couple" in country music:
"I'm sure Tim and Faith never set out to be, you know, the country couple. I think what they probably found out is that they were attracted to each other and they met because of what they do. And that's kind of Miranda and I's situation. But for whatever reason we kind of have gotten going at the same time."
