Rodney Atkins To Release New Album Oct. 4
Rodney Atkins is one of country music's most reliable hit makers with his streak continuing with the fastest rising single of his career, "Take A Back Road," currently sitting inside the Top 10 at country radio. Take A Back Road is the platinum selling artist's fourth album, slated to hit stores on Tuesday, October 4th.
Atkins is spending most of his summer traversing the country on a non-stop touring schedule that kicked off in Nashville on June 7th. He hosted and organized the first annual "Music City Gives Back" concert that closed down the streets of Lower Broadway benefitting the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund entertaining thousands of fans and raised much needed donations and awareness to help victims of recent natural disasters.
Atkins is currently working with Pillsbury's Biscuitfest platform that will focus on promotional opportunities in over 30,000 outlets across the US coupled with Atkins' fall tour culminating with a trip to the annual CMA Awards.
"I have put a lot of time into the recording of this album and am excited to say I think it is progressive and representative of who and where I am today," states Atkins. "We are thrilled with the reaction of "Take A Back Road.'"
Beyond the road, Atkins is keeping busy with an upcoming GAC shoot for the popular "ORIGIN" series and will be shooting the video for "Take A Back Road" in several locations in the coming weeks.
