Because Rascal Flatts had such a blast on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation earlier this year, they are headed the acting route yet again this fall. Gary LeVox of the group reveals, "We're going to do a miniseries on HBO, called To Appomattox. It was a battle in the Civil War, so we're looking forward to that." He adds, "They want us on The Office and to give us our own show and shoot a major motion picture." Flatts' Jay DeMarcus shares what he thinks the reason is that in such high demand as actors: "People were really surprised and moved that we played ourselves so well [on CSI]. That's what really won them over." Gary disagrees, however, referring to a scene in the show. He points out, "The black eye, I think, is what sold the whole deal." Rascal Flatts are no newbies to the television camera; they appeared in an episode of Yes Dear in 2006. They also made a cameo in 2009's Hannah Montana: The Movie.
