Nothing Came Easy For The Eli Young Band

Like any group of musicians, The Eli Young Band has definitely played their share of bad gigs through the years. However, band member Jon Jones says that even the bad ones can have a happy ending:
"There's one show, my dad was there, James' [Young] dad was there and the bar staff was there and I think one person that we met at dinner was there. But it's a club that we sell out every time we're there now. That was in Texas. And, then there's this place in Arkansas, the same thing. It was literally the bar staff. Our tab was more than we made, you know of course but they ended up foregoing it, they didn't make us pay the tab which was very nice of them, considering that they didn't make any money that night. But now we sell that club out too. You can't leave a bad show thinkin', 'Ah, we're never comin' back here again.' You really gotta be tenacious in this industry and just find a different way to find an audience."
The Eli Young Band is currently climbing the country charts with their second single, "Always The Love Songs," off their album Jet Black & Jealous.
