Meet Ashley Ray, country music's fresh new face with a voice as unexpected as spiked sweet tea, and your host of Yallwire's new series Throwdown! with Ashley Ray. Touring coast-to-coast, Ashley is one of nine singer/songwriters on the Country Throwdown Tour, supporting acts like Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Jack Ingram, Eric Church, The Eli Young Band, Little Big Town and several more.
Throwdown! with Ashley Ray not only captures this Kansas native in the spotlight performing in front of thousands, but it takes you behind-the-scenes of this summer's biggest country extravaganza, including interviews (some in the bathroom!) with headlining artists, fellow Bluebird Cafe singer/songwriters, and the people that make this tour happen; rarely seen footage of tour bus shenanigans; and a whole lot more.
And, honestly, it's just plain fun to watch. The first episode takes place in Tampa, FL, the kickoff city for the Country Throwdown Tour, and features Ashley chatting with The Eli Young Band, Eric Church and Troy Olsen. Ashley also performs in The Bluebird Cafe tent before taking the main stage to sing "This Time Around."
