After three days of investigating the alleged assault charges filed against Miranda Lambert, Lieutenant Larry Wiginton of the Smith County Sheriff's Office announced Friday that the accuser, Aisha Esbay, has been charged with filing a false report to a police officer. That is a Class B misdemeanor, equivalent to jail time, a fine, or both. Esbay was arrested and as of Friday, was being held at Smith County Jail. Earlier last week, Esbay filed charges accusing Lambert of physical assault while they were at Bootlegger's night club in Tyler, Texas. After police spent numerous hours researching the case, Esbay's claims were found to be completely false.
