LeAnn Rimes' home has been crashed into by a suspected drunk driver.

A 20-year-old motorist - who was driving with a suspended license - slammed into singer's property in the gated neighborhood of Hidden Hills, California, leaving her fence severely damaged.

Although toxicology results are yet to come in, it is thought the young driver was under the influence of alcohol and LeAnn took to her twitter page to discuss the incident.

The 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' hitmaker - who was not at the property at the time of the incident - said: "To address the accident that happened in front of our home this morning, everyone is ok and safe. However, if drunk driving was involved it is terribly sad.

"My family could have been seriously injured and any situation where someone is drinking and driving should not be taken lightly. Needless to say, it was a very unsettling call to receive this morning. Thank goodness the young driver and everyone at home are ok. (sic)"

LeAnn - who lives at the property with husband Eddie Cibrian and his two sons - is now worried about returning home as she will then see the extent of the damage.

She replied to one tweet: "Yes, we are ok. I'm sure it will hit me when I go home tonight and see our fence. The pics are terrifying. (sic)"
