Jason Aldean's fourth album, My Kinda Party, has been certified platinum after selling one million copies.

The country star released the album in November, with the title track as its first single.

Along with the platinum certification, Aldean's career sales have now reached 5 million.

Humbled and excited about the news, Aldean states, "I just can't say enough about country music fans and the amount of loyalty they have for their favorite artists. To think that a million people already bought this record is hard for me to get my head around. And 5 million since I started? No way! I am so grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to play music every night."

Aldean will launch his 2011 My Kinda Party tour on Friday (January 21) in Little Rock, Arkansas, with special guests Eric Church and The Janedear Girls.
