James Otto is currently recovering from shoulder surgery. He reports his wife Amy has been "a great nurse." He blogs to fans on MySpace, "She keeps me from doing all the dumb stuff I would do on my own (i.e. driving, going out to MuzikMafia, or making important business decisions while all drugged up on painkillers)! Hmmm... probably for the best, I guess?"

Otto's shoulder had been bothering him all year, even causing him to drop out of the annual charity softball game during the CMA Music Festival last June. He shares, "My recovery should be quick. Today, I went for my first walk around the block outside and started my shoulder stretching exercises, so I feel really good. I will have physical therapy twice a week for 4-6 weeks to make sure I am healing properly. But, I feel good and will be much better equipped to take on 2009 with this behind me!"
