Hip Hop Star Ne-Yo Writes With Faith Hill In Mind

Superstar songwriter Ne-Yo co-wrote Beyonce Knowles' biggest hit to date, "Irreplaceable," but he actually had Faith Hill or Shania Twain in mind when he wrote the song. He tells VH1.com he felt the song could be a massive country hit and favored Hill or Twain to record it, but his co-writer suggested Knowles because he'd recently been penning tunes for her. Ne-Yo shares, "Nobody expected it to be the phenomenon it was, it surprised everyone. For one, it crosses every boundary...and it's a song people from all walks of life can enjoy."
