George Strait Wants You To Wear Red
While country concerts normally bring out the hillybilly in people, there's usually not a strict dress code. But when George Strait hits the road again for his tour with Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack, he's making one dress code request to his fans.
The country music legend - and military vet - has teamed up wit RedShirtsFridays.org to show support for U.S. military servicemen and women, and is encouraging his fans to participate in the "Red Shirt Fridays" tradition throughout his tour.
"We are going to wear red shirts to every Friday's tour date and we encourage the fans to do the same," says George. "I want to see a building full of red shirts, if possible."
In other George Strait news, on his January 15 tour date, Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett will declare Saturday "George Strait Day."
