Country legend George Jones was hospitalized this week (Jan. 5) in Nashville, TN.

It was reported that doctors ran tests on the 79-year-old singer to look for possible blockage in his heart, but no serious procedures were necessary.

Although he was only prescribed some medication, the country star joked, "I just decided I didn't want to drive back to Franklin in this cold weather. So I guess I'll stay here overnight and go home tomorrow."
