Garth Brooks will perform a major concert in Nashville to benefit victims of Tennessee's May flood.

The country singer plans to play the Bridgestone Arena with Trisha Yearwood on December 17. A true benefit concert, Garth booked the venue at no charge, is playing for free and staff for the production is working for no pay.

Although he's not promising any specific country stars, Garth claims that there might be some special guests joining him on stage for the event.

Hoping to help as many families as possible in the aftermath of the flood, the Dec. 17 date could possibly turn into a multi-concert run.

While many other country stars were involved with various flood-relief events just days after the disaster, Garth and Trisha decided to hold off on their charity show until later in the year when attention on the disaster died down. The two singers are aware that many victims continue to piece their homes and lives back together and hope that the money coming from the $25 ticket sales will help families in need.

Details on ticketing will be announced on November 3.

I will be attending this event! I am so looking forward to be able to attend such a great event! The last time I say Garth was when he played the 5 shows at Clippers Stadium in Columbus, Ohio the week of my wedding! I am glad to say we are still happily married after 13 Years! Thank you, Garth!
