Country music legend George Jones celebrated his 80th birthday with a bash at Rippy's Bar & Grill in Music City and Yallwire was there to join the fun!

Host Stephanie Langston caught up with George at the party, who talks about his secret to being healthy and happy as he continues to tour in promotion of his album "A Collection of My Best Recollection."

"I've really enjoyed life the past few years," The Possum says about embracing his age. "I thought I knew what life was all about coming up, but it wasn't a real life. Flesh, blood - yeah. But now it's great."

The album features several of his hits, and although he admits he was drinking a little too much during some of his sessions, George claims, "I'm proud of most of the things I did."

Travis Tritt, The Kentucky Headhunters and Billy Joe Shaver were just a few of George's celebrity friends who joined in the festivities, which of course included a possum birthday cake!

The party continued over at the Grand Ole Opry with special performances by Alan Jackson, Jamey Johnson, Lee Ann Womack and The Oak Ridge Boys.
