Host Stephanie Langston got the chance to talk with husband-wife duo Thompson Square as they celebrated their first No. 1 hit, "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not," with a party at ASCAP in Nashville, TN.

Still shocked by their super successful year, Shawna Thompson claims that they fell in love with the song instantly when it was presented to them by their label. "It's our story, and the groove...the melody of the song - it's just a catchy song, you know. We had to record it," the country sweetheart shares.

Stephanie was also able to catch up with the songwriters of the hit, Jim Collins and David Lee Murphy. Thrilled to work with such a talented twosome, Jim Collins exclaims that "there was magic in that record they recorded and I'm glad to be a part of it."

David Lee Murphy goes on to say, "We'll have a connection with these guys forever. When somebody records one of your songs in the first place, it's special, but when you know that that's the start of their career and they're just knockin' the ball out of the park, it's really cool."

Shawna and Keifer continue to tell us how special this past year as been, calling it their "year of firsts." With their first No. 1 single and two CMT Music Awards nominations - including Duo Video of the Year and USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year - this cute country couple claims that this is their best year yet.
