Exclusive Interview With Carter's Chord

Yallwire got the chance to sit down with country trio Carter's Chord in Nashville to talk about growing up surrounded by music, their new single "A Little Less Comfortable," and their great gut feelings about 2011.

Becky, Emily and Joanna Robertson - the three daughters of Waylon Jennings road band members Barny and Carter Robertson - insist that they each were encouraged to learn to play instruments and sing when they were little and have performed together at home, church, weddings and restaurant gigs from an early age. With Joanna tickling the ivory, Emily on the guitar and all three girls harmonizing together, these sisters prove that they have the natural chemistry and undeniable talent to fit in with country music's finest!

Written by Emily, Joanna and their friend Phillip White, the sibling trio recently released their latest single, "A Little Less Comfortable," a song about a relationship that has lost its spark as a couple has grown a bit too comfortable with each other.

Regarding the song's concept, Emily explains, "It's about a relationship, but we think it can translate to everyday life as well. I think people live too comfortably and they don't step outside themselves and really go for things in life. I think it's good to do things that scare us every once in a while, so hopefully we can kind of start a revolution with living life a little less comfortably."

With a busy schedule of radio promotion and playing shows at various Toby Keith bars around the country, this sister threesome reveal that they have a great feeling of what is to come in 2011!
