Eric Church And Wife Expecting First Baby

Eric Church and his wife of three years, Katherine, are expecting their first child this fall.
Thrilled with the news, Eric shares, "Katherine and I are very excited and are looking forward to becoming parents." The country singer goes on to say, "This year has gotten off to an amazing start for us, and this news has made it so much better than we could have ever anticipated."
This isn't the first time Eric has seen two lines indicating 'positive.' His huge hit, "Two Pink Lines," is the real-life story of waiting in angst for the results of a pregnancy test several years ago.
"I have this song song about pregnancy. It's a personal song for me, because two pink lines happened to me when I was unmarried and a teenager," Eric confessed at the CMA Songwriters series last year. "When I first played this for my mom, I was expecting her to be really bothered by it. She goes, 'I love that song. Why are you singing about two pink lions?' I said, 'Mom, I happen to love lions; I'm a big cat fan.' It took her a long time to figure it out."
Having grown up quite a bit since then, Eric has certainly changed his view about having kids and can't wait to become a father.
In addition to the news of a baby, Eric is the 2011 ACM Top New Solo Vocalist of the Year and now goes on to compete for Top New Artist at the April 3 awards show. His current single, "Homeboy," is racing up the charts. It's the first release from his upcoming third studio album, set for release later this year.
Congratulations, Eric!
