Country Throwdown Artists Release Debut EPs
A couple of Country Throwdown's performing artists have just thrown down self-titled EPs. First up is Ashley Ray, who released her EP on May 4 both digitally (via iTunes and Amazon) and physically in select Walmart and Best Buy stores across the country. Her single "Dirt Cheap" is impacting radio right now and features a fellow Throwdown artist, Mike Eli from Eli Young Band. Additionally, Ashley will soon have her own show on Yallwire covering the Country Throwdown tour, which kicks off tomorrow in Tampa, FL - stay tuned for the launch of the series and check out her video promoting her EP release. She's got a good on-air personality, huh? We think so and are really looking forward to working with her!
Jonathan Singleton & The Grove released their five-song EP on May 11, also available on both iTunes and Amazon. Having written songs for Josh Turner, Gary Allan, Billy Currington and David Nail, Singleton has definitely proven his writing chops, and this EP - along with his upcoming Country Throwdown performances - will showcase his talent as a singer. Also, Yallwire had the chance to interview Singleton at Country Radio Seminar a few months back. Check out what he has to say about the event, how they came up with the band name The Grove, what it's like being a songwriter, and his excitement for Country Throwdown tour!
