Ashton Shepherd Releases Sophomore Album

Ashton Shepherd will kick off her album launch week with a performance of "Where Country Grows" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday, July 8. The performance is in celebration of her sophomore release, Where Country Grows, out July 12.
In addition to this special performance, Shepherd will release the album's title track to radio on Monday, July 11. "Where Country Grows" was co-written by Shepherd and Bobby Pinson and is the follow-up single to her sassy Top 20 hit "Look It Up."
Already receiving critical acclaim, Rolling Stone recently gave Where Country Grows four stars and named Shepherd as an "Artist To Watch," saying, "her debut, Sounds So Good, was one of the best country releases of 2008. Where Country Grows is even better...Alabama spitfire matches killer voice to immaculate tunes...She can be as rugged as Miranda Lambertand Jamey Johnson, and sings better than each."
Moreover, Entertainment Weekly gave the album an impressive A- and in addition has chosen Where Country Grows for its coveted "Must List" saying, "Among strong, young hardcore-country women, Miranda Lambert is Ashton's only real competition." while Vanity Fair picked it as a 'Hot Track' in their latest issue.
The new album follows Shepherd's highly acclaimed debut album Sounds So Good, which earned tremendous reviews and made numerous year-end lists when it was released in 2008.
Be sure to pick up Ashton Shepherd's Where Country Grows on July 12th!
