Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Sara Evans, Brad Paisley and Josh Turner have all contributed to the movie soundtrack for Billy:The Early Years , which tells the story of Reverend Billy Graham. The 12-track album comes out October 7, three days before the film's release. Evans' track, titled "Low," will be released as the project's first single late next month. Also on the album are Brad's instrumental version of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," and a collaboration between Brooks & Dunn and Third Day's Mac Powell on Johnny Cash's "Over The Next Hill." Josh, who plays George Beverly Shea in the film, takes on the gospel classic "Almost Persuaded." Alan's musical talents appear in two ways on the CD. In addition to performing the song "Look At Me," he wrote the music for "Ruth's Prayer," a poem written by Graham's late wife and performed by Patty Griffin. Alan was inspired to write the tune after first seeing the poem in his copy of the Reverend Graham's biography. Another highlight on the soundtrack is a duet of "Amazing Love" between Graham's personal friend, Michael W. Smith, and American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle.
