Faith Hill’s reaction at the 2006 CMA’s, the other night, after finding out she did not win female vocal artist of the year was memorable.

As the nominations were being read by Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter, actress Miley Cyrus, Hill was laughing as she appeared to be talking to someone out of the camera’s range. When Carrie Underwood’s name was called as the winner, Hill’s facial expression quickly changed before she marched out of camera range. The motives for Hill’s reaction were unclear.Faith commented on her website with the following statement.

“The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable for me. For this to become the focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and a deserving Female Vocalist of the Year.”
