Lorrie Morgan

Lorrie Morgan salutes country music's past with her latest album, A Moment In Time. The project features Lorrie's take on "'Til I Get It Right" and "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" and also pairs her with Tracy Lawrence on "After The Fire Is Gone" and Raul Malo on "Easy Lovin."

Recording such classics can be a daunting task, especially covering the likes of the legendary Patsy Cline, whose song "Leavin' On Your Mind" appears on the album. However, Lorrie shares that she was up for the challenge:

"Well, it is intimidating. Now, there are some songs I won't do, I will admit that, but this is not in any way to be compared to Patsy's version. This is just my appreciation of songs that made me fall in love with music when I was a young girl. This is one of those songs that just absolutely tore my heart out. There was an element of intimidation, singing some of these songs, but it was challenging and I love a challenge, but it's more in reverence to, not in competition with."

Tomorrow morning at 11 AM, ET, tickets go on sale for Garth Brooks' first round of concerts in the intimate Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas starting December 11. Garth shares, "[CEO] Steve Wynn has done what I thought was impossible. He has given me a chance to sing again for the people, while at the same time never missing a day with my children. I am naturally nervous, but it feels good to be out from under the low ceiling of 'retirement' I put on myself." Steve Wynn was impressed the first time he saw Brooks perform in the intimate Encore Theater and notes, "For a single performer to lift an entire audience emotionally to the point where they pray it doesn't end, is an extraordinary and unique thing that only a few gifted people can do. But that is what I experienced when I saw Garth on stage, alone with his guitar, doing a history of his personal journey in music."

Garth shares that there really isn't a fear factor in moving forward with his first shows out of retirement:

"I don't have any trepidations because I've cleared it with the most important people - I've cleared it with my three girls, I've cleared it with Miss Trisha [Yearwood], and I've cleared it with the girls' mom, Sandy. We've talked about this. They're excited. The girls are excited for me to get out of the house. They are full-fledged teenagers now - all three of them - and they were very happy to hear that this is going to happen... And the one reason I just dig this gig right here... I get to come in off a plane, I get to walk out here and I get to just submerge myself in warm water and just play."

Tickets are $125 plus tax. Confirmed concert dates are December 11, 12, 13;January 1, 2, 3 and 22, 23, 24; February 12, 13, 14 and 26, 27, 28.Concert times will be Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 8 PM and 10:30 PM, and Sunday at 8 PM.Tickets may be booked by calling (702) 770-7469 or online at wynnlasvegas.com. When Joe Nichols was considering a bonus track for his upcoming release Old Things New that's in stores October 27, he decided to give fans a new twist on an old hit. He asked country rapper Colt Ford to remix "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off," a #1 hit for Nichols in 2005. The song will be shipped to 250 dance clubs nationwide. Keep an eye out for regional and/or national contests, and a special "Tequila" line dance now being created by teams of dancers for the song. Ford shares, "It was a real honor when Joe asked us to do a remix of 'Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off' because it is such a great country song. Joe has one of my favorite voices in country music so I really wanted to make the remix a fun song, and I think we did that. The remix is 'Tequila with a twist of Colt' so to speak."
