Toby Keith has country music fans excited about the release of his new album Big Dog Daddy, due out June 12th. Keith himself, though, seems to be more excited about his second release planned for the end of the year.

The two-disk Christmas album will include 10 Christian songs and 10 of Santa Claus’s favorite holiday jingles.
Taking a step in a simpler direction, Keith has unplugged the band for a down home feel on the mainly acoustic album.
Keith calls his accompaniment “the bluegrass band”….which includes the dobro, fiddle, mandolin, piano, acoustic bass and brushes on the drums.

Now there’s a side of Keith we’d like to see more of.
