  • Miranda Lambert has had to cancel her upcoming tour in Australia due to illness.

The country cutie was supposed to kick off the tour opening for Alan Jackson in Melbourne on Friday, but came down with a respiratory infection, forcing her to withdraw from the dates.

Obviously disappointed, Miranda stated on her website, "I was very much looking forward to Australia with Alan Jackson and performing for all the music lovers down under."

Alan's first tour of Australia is reportedly the fastest-selling country music tour in that country's history, having sold out within hours of being put on sale.

Jasmine Rae and McAlister Kemp will replace Miranda in the opening spot as she takes time to recover, while Australian country star John Williamson will take her place at the CMC Rocks the Hunter this weekend.

Miranda, whose single "Heart Like Mine" is climbing charts, is still scheduled to perform at the Houston Livestock and Rodeo on March 16.

    Feel better, Miranda!

Check out this great remix that DJ Silver came up with featuring Eric Chruch's "Smoke A Little Smoke" and Steve Miller Band's classic hit "The Joker."

DJ Silver - who recently hit the road with Jason Aldean as the first DJ to go on tour with a country act - claims that the two songs "go perfect together" and thought of mixing them when he thought of the "space cowboy" lyric in Steve Miller's hit and matching up both of the singers as they say "yeah."

  • Jason Aldean

Feeling comfortable at the top of the country charts and singing his multiple number one songs to fans each night in concert, Jason Aldean tells The Washington Examiner that he's thinking about throwing some new songs into the mix. He shares, "We talked about putting some of those songs in the show. There is a good possibility; we haven't played any of them live and there's no time like the present." Jason hints about his upcoming album, "We have some cool stuff on there. The success we had with Wide Open helped us go out and find some really great songs. We have been in the studio every day we weren't [on the road]." Even though there have been rumors of some very un-Aldeanlike sounds on the album, Aldean said the music doesn't veer much from his classic sound. He said, "You don't want to alienate fans who like what you do. It's our type of music. It's kind of like you want to keep with what brought you to the dance, you know?"
