My husband and I fell in love at Trace Adkin's concert in Danville, Illinios about 14 years ago. We are together to this day and this would be a great gift to give to him. He has had two back surgeries last year within 5 monnths apart and is facing possibly 3 more and has been disabled since May of 2009. This would just bring him out of his rut. It has been a terrible year for us. I just want to see him smile again!

My husband loved to play .But he lost part of two fingers on his right hand. And didnt have much feeling there after they begain healing . He could,nd work for about 3 mo. So he sold them .So we could make it . But later he got one he payed about $50.00 for it .Its not much to look at. But he injoys it. I would love to win your guitar. My ex-fiance, who was in a band, gave me his first guitar. when we broke up, I kept it, because he had given it to me as a gift. I kept it, but, planned on returning it when, if he had any children, and one was a boy, the child got old enough to appreciate it, and not tear it up as a toy. He did have a son, but, he closed me out of his life when started dating again, even though, his sister eventually married my brother. I kept the guitar, and since I had a daughter, decided to keep it, and give it to my first grandson, when he got old enough. I kept that guitar from 1975 to 1999. It was stolen with other items from my house, including my stereo system, some of my mother's china (they broke what they didn't take), and whatever else they could take in two trips to my house (My neighbor saw them, but when asked who they were, they told my neighbor that they were relatives, helping me move). I now have a grandson. He's three, but I would love to save your guitar, and give it to him, when he's old enough, to appreciate it, and pay for guitar lessons. You know, I would love to win this guitar cause I listen to Trace sing and say to myself "Hell, I could do that." No, just kidding. But really, I want to do that. my nephew Jesse is a senior in high school. He has a 3.8 GPA and is a fine young christian boy.He plays guitar like you wouldn't believe. Trace Adkins will always be apart of my life. On Feb. 23 2007, my husband and I were married. We had bought tickets to see Trace Adkins before we had planned our wedding. So, I planned our wedding on Feb. 23 not remembering that we had tickets that next day to see Trace. Knowing the way my husband and I are, we thought going to his concert on our honeymoom would be awesome, and it was. I also bought Trace's book for my husband as a wedding gift. Trace worked at International Paper as a mechanic and my husband is employed by IP at the Augusta Mill. Trace and my husband also share the same political views. This would be an awesome gift for him and we both enjoy sitting by a bon fire with friends having a few cold one's listening to the sound of an acoustic guitar. I guess this was a long comment.

I love Trace Adkins. His music has great meaning. My kids love his music too. It would be an honor for my children and me to win his guitar. My children love music and my youngest 2 play instruments in school. My youngest also can sing and she plays many kinds of instruments. We have been reunited after being apart. Music has always been apart of our lives.

I started playing guitar back when I was 15 with an epiphone les paul. I eventually started playing my dad's acoustic because it seemed more fitting for the music I listen to, which is 95% country. Now that I'm in college in Chicago, it's vastly different from my hometown. Country music is mostly all but existent here, and has been pushed aside for new-age hip hop and music that just doesn't have the heart and soul that country music has. Now that I'm full on engaged in tough engineering courses, most of my free time is eaten up trying to keep my grades up; but my one "getaway" is just strumming away on this old secondhand takamine I bought before I moved to school. It doesn't sound the best and could use some work, but it helps me get through the day, and is an unbelievable stress reliever. To me country music is music about me because it's all about what I like to do, and how I live my life, and it's extremely frustrating to me when people blow this music off as just a bunch of hicks babbling on about their dead wife, because it's so much more than that, and I'm constantly trying to play parts of songs for people to get them to see why this music is so good. I'd consider Trace Adkins one of my favorite three country musicians because he sings songs about "scars and cars and broken hearts", which is what music should be I'd guess. I'd be honored to win this guitar to keep and pass down to my future sons and his sons. I know I wouldn't do it the justice it deserves, I'm continuously practicing and trying to get better, but I'd do my best with it and play the music that it was made for, songs about regular real-life guys that are making an honest living here in the U.S.A. There's probably a whole lot more better-qualified people in this contest than me, but I figure I got nothing to loose, and a whole lot of good to gain.

I just want the guitar. I love instruments

I hope I get the guitar so I can give it to my 9 year cousin that has cancer. He has a 16% chance of living, and I just want to make his last days the happiest days.

when I saw trace in west palm beach fl it was he birthday and we got him a cake and he keep say he didn't have birthdays it as just another day but by the end of the show he really enjoyed his self and even said thank you and i have loved him every since then. He was so good in that show that i have bought every cd and cassete his has every put out .and he is good looking and love would to have it for my self. Just to remind me of him.

My youngest son is Autistic he's 20 years old my oldest son used to play on a flat top a few years ago to calm my other son down, that flat top have been ruined, and back in March 1, 2009 my dad passed away from esophogul cancer he was a good rhythm player in a country western band for over 20 years, my son had asked me if his "big grandpa" would maybe give him his guitar before he left us, unfortunately I had to tell him that wasn't possible he had already given it to my brother (because my brother bought him the guitar when he was like 17 years old he has NO CLUE however how to play)my son was heartbroken, Right now i have no income, my sons receive SSI for their disabilities however I even though i am Permantely BUT partially disabled in my right and left hands, with a condition called RSD it stand for reflex sympathetic dystrophy it attacks my nerve endings and send signals to my mind that I am in constant pain however even thru the pain I have taken out student loans and put myself in a debt that i have no idea how i'm going to pay but I have 5 weeks left of classes and I will receive an associates degree in Business management with my concentration in medical coding and billing but my disability is even putting a hamper on that,I have 12 A's one C in algebra and 2 more A's will be added this sunday, I then need only 2 more A's to just about ace my degree. I currently have a 3.88 GPA i'm hoping to make it higher and I will graduate with HONORS, I'm a smart individual I have just had some horrible things happen in my like that created circumstances that unfortunately remaining a stay at home mom for the best interest of my kids has killed my work experience but their needs came and come first and I had to do what was BEST FOR THEM so we suffered financially. I would love for my son to be able to continue self teaching himself on another guitar however I in no way can afford to buy him one and he sure can't afford it on the $600.00 a month he gets. I think this would be an extra special gift for not only him, but his brother and I. Please consider this my son would feel like a special person a very SPECIAL PERSON if he were to win this. Well, im a southern born and raised - wild eyed boy from Dallas, Texas. I have always loved the guitar and would cherish this one as a keepsake to be handed down for generations.
Coutry music is as needed in my life as air, food, and water. Trace has been a huge inspiration to my ameture musical carreer. I've grown up listeining to his, and other country legends' music since i was in the womb.
The plans i have for this guitar are amazing: i'm in the workings of asking the love of my life to marry me. We've known eachother for over 2 years now, dating, and have been steady for over 7 months now. She plays guitar, but her's is older, worn out and in need of replacement. I want to present it to her on our anniversary, with a ring tied to the neck and propose to her :D

Music is what makes the world what it is today. Look at everything around u there is a story to everything, and every electronic basically can carry some kind of music now. Take that story behind something add a beat and throw down a series of chords... boom you've got a song. if I win this guitar I would pass it to my friend he has had the same guitar since he started playing he cant afford it and his family just was blessed with a beautiful set of triplets now he writes music we jam together sometimes on weekends. I hav 2 guitars of my own but one is a collector soo I dont play that and my other is the oen I jam on. My friend unfortunately is a lefty and to switch my guitar around it's kind of a hassle. to win this guitar and to be able to pass it on to him would continue his dream of becoming a songwriter in america. he sacrifices his social life to help his parents with these wonderful triplets i think he deserves some reward, and not many people can say that Trace Adkins gave me this guitar... this would be the best gift of all..

For years I've been yearning to play a guitar. Every time I see a guitar in a store window or at any store I'm at and see a guitar I keep telling my family members "One day, ONE DAY, I'm going to have a guitar and I'm going to play for you. You'll even BEG me to play some songs!" Since I was 10 years old I've been hearing how beautiful the sound of the guitar is and I've been begging my mother to buy me one. I've waited enough and I've had enough time imagining a guitar was in my lap. When I saw this I stared at the computer screen for a moment and right away clicked it. Well everyone deserves to win. But it's not about how lucky you are to win something. It's who believes enough to reach their dreams. And everyone has a dream. My dream is to become a country singer. I don't want to do it for the money or the fame, though those are two great things to have for the encouragement. Don't get me wrong it's not that I don't want those, I'm just saying there are more important things. My main reason of wanting to become a singer is because it's something I grew up doing..singing in church, talentshows,bennefits..ect.. It's something I love doing. I've been playing since I was 5 years old. I'm now 58. While staying at my mom's to look after her after a couple operations, a plumbing leak developed in my own house and caused the ceilings to collapse. Most of what I owned was destroyed either by the weight of the ceilings or the water that caused the collapse. I wouldn't have known what had happened initially except that somebody spotted water running out my back door. It was devastating. Not that this makes me the most deserving, but I sure would love to have a new guitar since now, I have none. Life without music ain't much life at all.

Hello, I would be incredibly honored to win this guitar. I currently have 1 guitar and I play it every day. I think I am decent and I teach myself a lot. I do take lessons from my neighbor. I come from a generation of country/bluegrass musicians and I picked up the guitar about 2 years ago with my dad playing for 40 years and my sister being a country singer/guitarist I was very inspired to start playing. I had an old harmony hummingbird acoustic but I set it down and a friend broke it. I now have no acoustic to play with and im being musically starved. I saw this and thought thats a beautiful instrument so I entered also cause Ive been a fan of trace since 2002. A squire strat is a poor substitute for that lovely acoustic sound I would be playing this baby from dusk till dawn or itleast to ma tells me to go to bed. Music is a part of my life I cant live with out I love it in all its forms unless its been made with a computer. this is why I want the guitar I dont think I deserve it though. theres far greater musicians then me but If I ever did get this instrument I would keep it in the case when not in play so my clumsy friends couldn't break it. I play them music they break my guitar what a lousy way to say thanks right?

I think i should win this guitar because i absolutly LOVE Trace Askins music. I live with 5 other people and when i need a break i go away and listen to Trace sing and it calms me. Trace Adkins was an initial topic my newly-reunited younger brother and I could speak about in agreement. We have been separated since our teens, or ~ 40 yrs and he recently moved in with my husband and I. While listening to Trace's music, my brother commented on how much he appreciated not only his music, but also his frankness and honesty in communicating. He also mentioned that despite his lanky build, wearing a cowboy hat similar to Trace along with being the same height and facial hair, people ask him if he is Trace. This guitar would signify the unity and love we are finding in our expanding family. Trace may be a new grandfather, but our family has reconnected with someone we thought lost.

i abusulutly love his songs!! my parents almost had all of his cd's. i would listen to them 24/7 with out the songs ever getting old. he inspired me to be a singer.. i sing in the church choir and school choir.. i also sing in the school tallent shows.. and i volunteer at the hospital, when we have our dinners for rewards, i sing a few of his songs. i know his songs almost by heart. i sing, play trombone, play piano and can play just about any instrument you give me. I'm also just starting guitar lessons and i still need a guitar, but i don't have the money to get one, so to win this would be really helpful.

My adoptive dad and i had virtually nothing in common when I first went to live with him, until one day he put in a Trace Adkins cd. I remember him and I would go get coffee or ice cream then we would sit in the truck listening to Trace Adkins and talk. Every time we did that, we got closer than before. I grew up listening to Trace Adkins, my dad and I would listen to his music when it was just him and i and sing along to his music. Some of the best memories i have is when Trace Adkins' songs are playing. His music always seems to put a smile on my face and cheer me up if I'm upset because he sends me back to when I was five years old and with my daddy. If I win his autographed guitar, I would cherish it for a long time.

after years of not playing the guitar left to me by my uncle i would love to start playing again and hopefully try to put music to some of my poems. since becoming partially disable after a car accident i was a passenger in, i'm not able to work therefore i'd love to do or try to do more things to help with my personal therapy. who knows, maybe trace would help me with putting music to my poems...starting with one i wrote for my cousin and her husband along with other soldiers...."soldiers at war".

I am a big country music fan, and I love Trace Adkins' music. I have always wanted a guitar to strum on when I was bored growing up, but I had no money to buy one. Still to this day I wish I had a nice guitar to just sit down and strum on and let my problems just drift away. Having a guitar signed by Trace Adkins himself would be a magnificent gift for myself since I am doing well in college.

My father had a acoustic guitar and after he had passed away my sister had kept it in her possession. But a couple years ago, she had lost it due to a fire when a bolt of lightning hit her home. needless to say, she lost everything. It was her most prized possession from our dad. I own all of Trace Adkins cd's,he is my favorite Country singer especially his crossroads sessions with 38 Special.I drive a garbage truck for a living
and and Country music keeps me going 10 hours a day.One of my co-workers could be a body double for Trace.I can sing along with most of Trace's songs and do it kareoke now and then.The songs I listen to the most are one's not currently played on the radio("Scream, I Left Something Turned On at Home,and Chrome")I am at least His number one fan in Maryland and deserve to win his guitar.

I LOVE Trace Adkins and so does my mom. I like Trace Adkins so much because unlike many of today's country singers, Trace was a hard-workin man before he became famous and he has never forgotten where he came from. He has music that means something to everybody. His music has soul which is hard to find in most country music you hear on the radio today. I am one of your biggest fans and so is my son. My son's grandfather passed away recently. He played guitar most of his life. My son has been "self teaching" himself how to play. When his grandfather passed away, the only thing my son requested was one of Charie's guitars. Unfortunately Charlie had suffered for years with Alhzimers. Before any of us knew how bad it was, he was conned out of his guitars and amps,...etc. by a church member!(Charlie was a preacher) I think by winning this guitar for my son, it would help restore his faith. Then he could continue to learn and relate to his grandfather. Please help me out with this. It would be for his personal use, never to be sold for profit. I know it must be worth a lot of money, but he just needs it for the memories and connection to Charlie.
