You were lucky if you got to catch these fellas back in their formative years playing in Nashville’s infamous Printer’s Alley. One fateful weekend, cousins Gary Levox and Jay Demarcus were short their regular guitarist. Joe Don Rooney picked up the strings and Rascal Flatts magic began. A few demos landed in the hands of the right folks at Lyric Street and just days later the band was signed.

Flatts boys were impressed with the Disney imprint for representing SheDaisy…feeling they’d got “it”….meaning the idea of where country was headed. So, hard hitting honky tonk time spent in Nashville worked out well for this gang. And to spot the talents now, without thousands of other adoring fans, will prove to be a downright miracle.

Though the video “Melt” caused a freaking uprising, our favorites are:

1) Sin City hootenanny “Me and My Gang” and

2) Remake “Life is a Highway”
