Turner followed up the success of Long Black Train with the release of his next album, Your Man, in 2006. His most successful album to date, Your Man nabbed the singer two Grammy nominations and went on to become certified double-platinum by the RIAA. Josh Turner was widely praised for his ability to release uplifting, inspirational music inspired by his gospel roots that refrains from being preachy or didactic, evident when listening to singles "Me and God" and "Would You Go With Me".

He released is most recent album, Everything Is Fine, in late 2007, backed by successful singles "Firecracker" and "Another Try". 2007 was a big year for Turner; after a successful summer tour, he was inducted into the Grand Ol’ Opry by country legend Vince Gill in October. As of 2008, Turner is currently slated to star in an upcoming film based on the life of influential American revivalist preacher Billy Graham, and has hinted that he may be working on an upcoming gospel album.
