Watch out, gentlemen - the lovely ladies of Cowboy Crush just might just steal your heart away. The sassy all girl country band’s infectious combination of catchy music, fast rythms, slick lyrics, and good looks is sure to sweep you up off your feet. While Cowboy Crush might be a new face on the block, the women who make up the band are more than just another Dixie Chicks clone - they’re all Nashville veterans with years of experience under their belts.

Singer Trenna Barnes, bassist Debbie Johnson, fiddler Renae Truex, keyboardist Becky Priest, and drummer Darla Perlozzi met while studying at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. A large private liberal arts school with a world-renowned music program, Belmont University has been the starting point for the careers of many now famous country artists, including Brad Paisley and Chad Warrix of Halfway to Hazard. The girls began practicing together in early 2003, and played their first concert six months later.

The band toured aggressively for the next few years, sharing stages with superstar country acts like Trace Adkins and Travis Tritt. After two hard years of touring, Cowboy Crush signed to Asylum/Curb records in 2005 and released two singles, "Nobody Ever Died of a Broken Heart" and "Hillbilly Nation". The group was in the middle of a recording session when drummer Darla Perlozzi left the band in late 2006.
