Apart from “Do To It”, Unappreciated has other peppy numbers and love ballads, which make the album worth listening to. They deal with issues of life, love, and relationships as a young woman would look at them. Cherish believe that “Whenever,” “Ohh,” and “Show and Tell” are a mini trilogy of songs starting from the point when a guy says he’d like to take your relationship to the “next level” to when you’re not sure if you’re ready, and finally culminating in you making up your mind and saying “show me what you got baby!” “Chick Like Me” is a song about the girls and their ideal men.
Unappreciated is Cherish’s attempt to make their mark in the ever-growing music industry. So far, they seem to have been pretty successful with “Do To It” and Unappreciated topping charts nationwide. They believe that amidst the Destiny’s Childs and the EnVogues of today, Cherish too will develop its own unique fan following because of their own style and different sound.

The four sisters are originally from Illinois, but moved to Atlanta to further their musical career. The group is signed to Capitol Records and Sho'nuff Records.
Cherish's first single, entitled "Miss P" was produced by Jermaine Dupri, written by Kandi and featured Da Brat, released by Warner Bros.' imprint reprise records. They can also be found on Da Brat's single "In Luv Wit Chu" in 2003. They also recorded 3 songs for The Powerpuff Girls: Power Pop soundtrack called "Chemical X", "Power of a Female" and "Me and My Girls". They completed a whole album named The Moment that was shelved for undisclosed reasons. After 3 years the group came back with the summer hit "Do It to It" which featured Sean Paul of the YoungBloodZ. The single hit the Billboard Hot 100 at number 12 and entered many other charts including the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs on Billboard and many more. The second single off the album was "Unappreciated".
Their sophomore album entitled The Truth was released on May 13, 2008. The first single, "Killa" hit the Top 40 on the Pop charts, while the follow-up is "Amnesia". In a recent interview member, Fallon, described the album as: "The biggest difference to me is the fact that you grow artistically whenever you?re being creative and we?ve been creative for the past couple of years. Our artistry has grown. When we wrote The Truth, we named the album The Truth because basically every song on the album is from personal experiences and we wanted to get personal with our fans. We want everybody to know that they?re not alone going through these things and we?re here.
They are currently working on a comeback album due out to mid 2009.
