Akwid’s most recent album,
La Novela ("The Novel"), was released in early 2008. The album - which features contributions from a number of prominent Latin artists, including
Raul Hernandez and
Chino XL - has so far produced the hit single
"Ombligo A Ombligo", a tongue-in-cheek tale of finding love at a wedding.
La Novela features a more mature, musically complex style that Akwid plans to retain on future releases.
