Against Me! evokes the "punk as fuckin' rock" spirit while incorporating elements of alt-country, hardcore, folk, punk, and even blues. The band started out as a completely independent acoustic unit and eventually evolved their style into the aggressive sound they represent today. The last two years have seen the bands popularity explode. They have signed to Fat Wreck Chords, while still releasing EPs through their original supporters, No Idea Records.
